Diagnosis and management strategies for cats with inappropriate toilet and marking behaviour
This course will consider the potential underlying motivations for unacceptable toileting and marking behaviour in cats and use case studies to illustrate the need for thorough history taking and investigation in order to unravel the mystery of these common cases. The importance of identifying potential underlying medical conditions will be emphasised and the differentiation between cases where urine and/or faeces are being used as olfactory and visual markers or deposited as the result of elimination will be explored. Appropriate treatment strategies will also be discussed.
