Caring For The Wild

The focus is the ethical issues that our relationship with wild animals raises. Few will question that we should take care of wild animals. How we are supposed to do that is, however, a much more complex question. The answers to that depends both on extensive knowledge about the animals in question and the values that we base our relationship with the animals on.

We offer discussions that bring the knowledge and experience of the participants into play, exercises that challenge your assumptions and lectures that provide up-to-date knowledge of the scientific and philosophical framework. The course provide no definite answers to the ethical issues but provides a flash-light to see more clearly the values involved in our relationship with wild animals and a language in which to discuss the difficult ethical choices that need to be made.
